Figures for every site

Each site's till posts its daily sales into Xero under its own tracking category. Business Pulse sets each site's takings and labour cost against its budget in the management accounts, and Peter Allen goes through the group's figures with you each quarter or each month. A site whose labour cost has climbed or whose drink margin has slipped shows up at the review.

Questions from group owners

Can each of our companies claim the Employment Allowance?

No. Where companies are connected, only one company in the group can claim it. For 2026/27 the allowance is £10,500 off the year's employer National Insurance.

Do we lose small business rate relief when we open a second site?

Relief on the first property continues for 36 months where the second property was taken on from 27 November 2025, and 12 months where it was taken on before. After that it continues only if no other property has a rateable value above £2,899 and the total is under £20,000, or £28,000 in London.

Does each site need its own tipping policy?

The statutory code requires a written policy on how tips are dealt with at the place of business, available to all the workers there. Tipping records are kept for three years.
