Your 2026/27 bill

How the figures are worked out

  1. Retail, hospitality and leisure properties use 38.2p in the pound below a rateable value of £51,000 and 43.0p from £51,000 to £499,999. Other properties use 43.2p and 48.0p.
  2. Every property with a rateable value of £500,000 or more uses the 50.8p multiplier.
  3. Small business rate relief is 100% at a rateable value of £12,000 or less, falls in a straight line to nothing at £15,000, and needs the business to use one property.
  4. The bill is the rateable value times the multiplier, less the relief. Transitional relief and the supporting small business scheme are left out.
  5. England only, for 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027.
